a thought.
Thought/s… how many cross your mind per day? If you were to keep a count of them how would you? Draw lines? Put dots on a paper? Smack yourself? Ahh..
A sun ray poked through our bedroom window to wake me up this morning. I gave in and let ‘it’ splash my face with its warmth. It put a slight frown on my forehead and when I opened my eyes, my eyebrows automatically stretched themselves and a yawn welcomed itself to come out. Not to my surprise the ‘stretch’ was just waiting for its turn, took the opportunity and kicked in. The very next thought in my mind was, “Ahh time to wake up and put all the clothes away properly in the closet. Pick up my new perfume bottles, paint my toe nails, ….. the thoughts were rushing in like passengers rush for a train which only stops for 30 seconds at Dadar station in Bombay.
Once again I looked at the sun ray which had formed a perfect beam, yep! the one which woke me up. You’d think I’d be upset with it and look away, to my astonishment, I looked right into it and found bunch of little particles of dust floating. As they traveled out of the beam they were invisible. It was so nice of the sunbeam to give them an identity. A thought for my thoughts --- “if a face was to be given to them, would they look like these particles? Floating, running in and out, playing hide and seek in my mind?” But again…. That too was just a thought.

Nicely written Pallavi :)
Greetz to you!
Nice! Well written pallavi..
"It was so nice of the sunbeam to give them an identity" -> And it was so nice of you to spot that identity! And it was so so nice of you, to have shared it with so many of us :)))
Whats the use of having an identity, and still going unnnoticed? You made sure this dint happen!
Rock on! ;)
you have pretty thoughts pallavi! your innocent and cute lines almost made me see everything in front of me.. brilliant stuff.
and, keep that bubbly cheeky smile up!
A million thoughts run through my mind in a minute or so...there's actually no proper count...there can never be...I believe the human mind is a the biggest and most complex repository ever...
Nice 'thoughtful' post Pallavi :)

We all have Lasers in our brains just waiting to flash!

Interesting question you brought up .... many struggle to show their existence... be it human/ non- human... some wish to stay like that.and some cant stand it... i really like ur point of view!

you are right keshi, we can definitely not keep a track of our human thoughts... though when you say the above line.... (techy side of me coming out as well)... wouldnt it be intersting if we could..
select * from thoughts
